As usual, very interesting article. I like that you are in favor of newbies advertising. Another point in favor of it is that if you spend months and months building up a loyal readership and then suddenly introduce ads, you run the risk of alienating your readers. They have come to expect an ad-free blog and suddenly their comfort zone has been invaded by Adsense or affiliate links. It's best to get the ads up right away so your intentions are clear from the start.
