I hit the jackpot on good plugin finds today for all you junkines. This morning I found myself sitting face to face with a site called Coffee 2 Code and a long list of WordPress 2.5 compatible plugins. I won’t go through the whole list but here are the ones you can bet will find [...]

I promised a post not so long back on how to make the most of Twitter for blogging. In the mean time a couple of big name blogs ShoeMoney and ProBlogger have gotten into twitter pretty hard and can give you their takes on the networking with your fans side of it better than I [...]

Permalinks for those of you who don’t know are just what they sound like, permanent links to everything in your blog. The WordPress default, which I have temporarily reverted too, looks something like this http://domain.com/?p=123. Prettier examples look like http://domain.com/2008/04/18/sample-post/ or http://domain.com/category/sample-post/ There are however problems when making this switch on occasion as I am [...]

Akismet This is the best in spam control there is hands down.
Ultimate GA (Google Analytics) You can use the Google Analytics services without this plugin, but frankly why would you want to. It makes the service so much easier to use and, even better will write a lot of the code into your blog [...]

I modified the original LiveJournal CrossPosting plugin and have had it sitting on Brad’s Tiny World since the day 2.5 came out. It is a rather handy tool to have as cross posting your blog entries to your LJ page certainly brings in more traffic without any extra work. With the move going [...]

Today’s blogging tip is don’t over extend yourself. If you don’t have time to commit to your blog(s) then you have probably over extended yourself with either the blogs or your other activities. Either way trying to do both will make your life suck and no one gives a damn if you blog about your [...]

WordPress 2.5 seems to be more particular than early releases to coding errors. One possible result is the loss of sidebars and footers. Elezend asked about this very problem on Lorelle on Wordpress, then again at Brad’s Tiny World. Elezend’s footer which contains MyBlogLog and Blog Catalog displays just up and disappeared upon upgrading. Personally [...]
