I have found the Google XML Sitemap Plugin for Wordpress to be a lifesaver. If I had to update all of the sitemaps for my multiple blogs, I would never have the time to write any new posts. I love the fact that this plugin resubmits your sitemap whenever you make changes. It should also be noted that even though it is called Google XML Sitemap Plugin, the sitemap created by the plugin is read by Yahoo! and the other popular search engines, as well.
